This is not a shiur during Shemoneh Esrei. It is a usable daily aid: understand something true, stay with it, let it reach the heart, and say the words with כוונה.

Gratitude to Hashem comes before we have made ourselves presentable. Closeness is not earned by first perfecting ourselves; we return to Him as we are.

Foundation
